All-ah tawlar svehnsk-ah

New blog, in Swedish this time. It's going to be the official blog, I think. This will be the less official one. I hope nobody minds. After all, very few of my returning readers have been anglophone over the year and half (almost) that this blog has existed.

So; please change your links and spread the other adress, not this one. I'd appreciate it! I promise that the new blog will contain more action than this one has lately. Oh Puh-lease! will, hiwever, never be forgotten nor removed, because 1) the title is so fucking cool and 2) I might need it for some secret emo-postings.

First ten song shuffled

On iPod (2 GB/389 songs) :
1. Pharrell feat Jay-Z - Frontin'
2. Bright Eyes - From A Balance Beam
3. Euromotion - Don't Tell Me Your Name (lol)
4. Niccokick feat José Gonzáles - I Want You Back
5. Alicia Keys - If I Ain't Got You
6. The Strokes - Ask Me Anything
7. Morrissey - I Like You
8. Bright Eyes - Take It Easy (Love Nothing)
9. Bright Eyes - Laura Laurent
10. Gnarles Barkley - Crazy

Numbers 1, 2, 5, 9 and 10 are songs I wouldn't have listened to if I was say, sitting on the train to Lund, but that I can't remove from the iPod since I might want to listen to them someday.

In iTunes (5, 72 GB/1159 songs) :
1. Otis Redding - Ain't No Sunshine When She's Gone
2. Busta Rhymes - Touch it (Dirty)
3. Kaizers Orchestra - Dr Mowinckel
4. Sean Paul - We Be Burnin' (lol)
5. Rufus Wainwright - Natasha
6. Kaizers Orchestra - Pa Ditt Skift
7. Sugababes - Push the Button (lol)
8. The Gorillaz - November has Come
9. Bob Hund- Jag är inte arg
10. The Dandy Warhols - We Used to be Friends

Okay, so maybe the second list wasn't representative, at least not with only 10 songs. The question you're all thinking about: How many percent of my mp3's are Bright Eyes?

13.3 %. That's not so bad.

Misdirected revenge

Slightly amusing.

Mmm, beer.

Tonight I'll be working at Indigo, the nation's weekly nightclub. The Legends are playing, and the girls from Tokyo Rose (who usually hang out in the basement of Retro) are DJ:ing. I hope it will be fun.

Okay, and embarassing and not-very-important aspect of tonight BUT:

This summer I met a guy, let's call him French Fries. It was very casual, we met at a concert at KB and went out to "rökrutan" for some canoodling. I remember I made fun of him for having fashionably white sneakers and a striped shirt with one of those pop-girl-buttons on it. The button said "Television Personalities". Educated by ZTV's "Recommended by the Music Editors", I impressed on French Fries by namedropping their pretty shitty song All the young children on crack. Fine, fine. I remember he told me where he lived (Lund) and what he did (studied philosophy), but not much more than that... Except for him asking me to spend the night with him, but fortunately we were leaving then so I could excuse myself. Yeah, yeah, so, guess whom I meet through a party-acquaintaince (you know, the people who seem so nice and friendly after 6-8 beers that you just have to exchange phone numbers) last week? That's right, mister Fries himself. Since he's called French Fries, I figured it had to be the same guy. French Fries is a rather unusual name. Why does it have to be so strange, meeting people who want to sleep with you? I guess I should have been proud or something, but...

Due to the FabFall-concept, I had to ask him if he remembered me, which he did. Also, it turns out that he's the ex-boyfriend of my party-acquaintance. To top the whole thing off, he was very touchy feely. It was embarassing, very embarassing. "Almost-pass-out"-embarassing.

Thank God for FabFall, people! Seriously, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. So, you ask yourselves, what does this slightly amusing yet mostly useless piece of information have to do with your current life, Natalie? Well, The Legends are evidently strongly influenced by Television Personalities. So, French Fries will be there tonight aswell. Lecille will laugh. I will die a slow death.

Good thing I get paid in beer.

I should probably feel cheap/but I just feel free/and a little bit empty

This is seriously driving me crazy. I'm extremely frustrated.

Aaaand Uni is still great. And so is Lund. Can't wait to move there, seriously. I've gotten to know a lot of people through the Swedish equivalent of sorority/fraternity, the nation. Only this is mandatory and not as fancy, but still accounts for a large part of the social life students have. I'm a proud member of the Blekingska nation, which has a pop/rock/alternative music profile. Perfect for me. That's where Em and I are working this Friday, at the club called Indigo. That will be fun. everyone I've met from Blekingska so far is extremely nice and outgoing, I simply love them. I'm actually considering living at the nation, they have apartments and dorm rooms for rent. Hmm.

I got my book package from adlibris.se today! It contained works by Émile Zola, Albert Camus, Göran Tunström and J.M. Coetzee. Feels like I'm back in the IB, only in a good way. I think I will dig into my fresh, lovely and intellectual books now. Ciao!

Awsum day

Had such a great day. Exhausted. Summary:

  • Was on the official student radio channel in Lund, spoke about the elections. Was witty and smart, impressed the cute radio guy. (H)
  • Met classmate Em, had fun. Went for coffee and McDonald's. Delish.
  • Went to first ever radio class. Very interesting. Will continue.
  • Em and I signed up for voluntary work at the sorority's night club this Friday. Free beer, people!
  • Ell and R are coming to the club on Friday.
Tomorrow: Watch "Troy" in school, discuss with group. Then beer with class. I love Uni. And Lund.

And also...

Calling oneself emo and or indie is pretentious. Whenever I do it, I'm sarcastic. Okay?

That's it. The election is over and people are getting the change they wanted. I hope you voted, but on the other hand, if you did vote, the odds are you voted for the right, so then I don't love you. Hm. Dilemma.
